Damascus: Syria's foreign ministry said on Wednesday that airstrikes on civilian infrastructure were a "war crime", marking the second time in a week the Israeli strikes at the Aleppo airport. the statement said that “Israel must be held to account for it,”.
Israel’s strikes on the airport of Aleppo in northern Syria killed at least three people, a war monitor said Wednesday.
In a statement on Wednesday, the foreign ministry specifically referred to the Israeli airstrikes on the international airport in Aleppo on Tuesday, which damaged the runway, leading to the suspension of flights.
Syrian military sources said Israel launched the missile strike from the Mediterranean Sea. The Israeli army also fired rockets at the airport on August 31.
