ISTANBUL: Hundreds of protesters took to the streets in Turkey on Sunday to condemn the actions of Iranian police following the death of a young woman following her arrest by the country's notorious police.

Women carrying red roses, Iranian flags and signs bearing the words "Women, Life, Freedom" have rocked the Iranian government and sparked a fierce protest movement after the death of 22-year-old Iranian girl Mahsa Amini last month. Kurdish.

An AFP correspondent reported that some 200 people gathered a large banner with pictures of Iranian women killed in action and the slogan "Women, Life, Freedom" in Kurdish.

Hundreds of people in the western city of Izmir on Saturday evening demonstrated solidarity with the participating Iranian women.

Norway-based NGO Iran Human Rights said on Sunday that at least 92 people have been killed in Iran since the protests began.
