Ahmed Sharif, a prominent Pakistani journalist and TV host who hosted a popular political show in Pakistan's ARY News, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi. Local media reported the incident. Ahmed Sharif used to work for the English daily Dawn before ARY News.
According to ARY News, Kenyan police have started an investigation into the incident.
The Foreign Ministry of Pakistan said that Pakistan's High Commission in Kenya is in touch with Kenyan officials.
