18.9 Million Afghans Suffer for Daily Meals: According to the World Food Program

Kabul [Afghanistan], Oct 17 (ANI): On the occasion of World Food Day, the World Food Program believes that around 19 million Afghans are facing a lack of food insecurity.

According to Tolo News, World Food Day, which is celebrated on October 16, was celebrated this time on Sunday, Kabul residents said they are at risk of severe food insecurity due to lack of jobs and economic challenges, It keeps on increasing.

Wahidullah Amani, spokesman for the World Food Program in Afghanistan, said that a survey conducted in Afghanistan from February to March showed that about 19 million people suffer from food insecurity, and they need to receive food aid and humanitarian assistance, reports Tolo News.

Abdul Latif Nazri, Deputy Minister of Economy, said, "Our plan is to attract international humanitarian aid, try to help small and average industries, and we are planning economic projects to strengthen infrastructure in Afghanistan.

As reported by Tolo News, the high rate of poverty thus increasing in Afghanistan has forced many students to work hard.

According to the National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA), the daily income of the Afghan people is only 102 Afs.
