Iranian police arrested an artist just because his viral song became an anthem of ongoing protest

A few days before his arrest, on September 29, Sherwin Hajipur posted a song on Instagram which went viral.

According to the news of Radio Farda, Iranian authorities have also arrested female artist Donya Rad.

DUBAI: Sherwin Hajipour, whose viral song has become a song of anti-government protests in Iran, has been arrested by the police from his hideout.


currently, it is not clear that what allegations have been leveled against the young singer, the news website Radio Farda reported.

Infact on 29 September, Sherwin Hajipour arrested because he posted a song and try to explain the current situation in the Islamic Republic.

The song's lyrics were woven from tweets posted by Iranians after Amini's death, many of them blaming the country's clerical leadership for the current social, economic and political problems.
