During the meeting, Mr. Taha on behalf of the General Secretariat and Dr. Al Malik on behalf of ICESCO, the OIC General Secretariat and ICESCO expressed appreciation for the partnership, cooperation, coordination and complementarity between the two sides to better serve the Muslim countries. Signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a practical framework.
The MoU seeks to enhance the integration between the OIC General Secretariat and ICESCO in the execution of projects and programs on education, science and culture.
On the other hand, the two sides discussed aspects of cooperation in the light of the resolutions of the Islamic Summit, the Council of Foreign Ministers and regional meetings in the areas of culture, education and environment. Similarly, the OIC-ICESCO Joint Technical Committee also convened a meeting to discuss the implementation of joint programs in future.
