LONDON: Arab News
A French government minister has pledged to halt the increase in clothing associated with Muslim cultures in French schools, saying clothing associated with Muslim cultures goes against French values of secularism.
Pap Ndiaye described the event as a "ripple" encouraged by religious influencers online.
France 18 years ago banned to bringing anything religious or wearing religious cloth in school, only for stop Muslim girls from wearing the hijab.
Nadia said Republic is first from everything "We are going to do what is absolutely necessary to stop the harmful influence of these Islamic agitators".
France is home to approximately 6 million Muslims, many of whom are increasingly displeased with the government's attitude to religious dress as a product of its fundamental secularism.
Again this week, clashes broke out between students and police at a school in a Paris suburb when the headmaster banned the abaya. (Abaya is a loose-fitting full-length clothes for Women).
Ministers also say that online platforms are also targeting Islamist boys, forcing them to wear thawbs.(Thawbs is a loose fitting clothes for Men).
Teachers say whether thawb and abaya are hallmarks of religious dress or whether are cultural dress, the question is that whether thawb and abaya should be banned in school.
Speaking to The Times, head teachers union member Didier Georges said the school should have a clear rule that does not need to be explained.
