Tehran : Iran's supreme leader on Thursday vow to take revenge on those who threatened the country's security following the massacre of Shia pilgrims.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said the attackers would be "punished at all costs" and called on Iranians to unite.
After 15 people were killed in the brutal attack, he said, "It is the duty of all of us to deal with the enemy."
Khamenei's call for unity did not impress protesters those against the hijab, with protesters calling for the dismantling of the Islamic republic during the protests.
Security forces have said in their statement that they have arrested a gunman who attacked Shah Cheragh Dargah. However, the condition of the attacker is critical due to shot by the police, a senior police officer said.
In the CCTV footage, it is seen that the attacker entered the dargah hiding the rifle in the bag and opened fire. Due to which all the devotees were running here and there to save themselves.
